Jacques Villeneuve will be replaced in the Albatec Racing team by Marc Scott, son of team owner Andy Scott, for the eleventh round of the World Rallycross Championship in Turkey.
Villeneuve will miss the Turkish event due to his media commitments in Formula 1, as the Russian Grand Prix at Sochi clashes with the World RX event.
"I'm incredibly excited about making my World RX debut alongside my dad, and can't thank him enough for the opportunity," said the younger Scott.
"I've had two very successful seasons in RX150, and now feel the time is right to make the step up to the Supercar class.
"Although I've only raced the older [Peugeot] 306 at Croft last year, I have driven the 208 before and I'm confident that I can put on a good show in front of the thousands of World RX fans.
"I don't feel under any pressure, I know what I'm capable of and I know the car's potential, so I'll just go out there and do my job and get the best results I can."
Scott, who won the British based RX150 rallycross championship in 2013 and successfully defended his title this season, made his rallycross Supercar debut at the British Rallycross Grand Prix at the end of last year.
On his debut, Scott finished on the podium driving the ex-Will Gollop / Ollie O'Donovan championship-winning Peugeot 306 now owned by his father Andy, who he will partner for Albatec at Istanbul Part next week.
The Scotts are the first father and son pairing to race in World Rallycross.
